Beltway Park’s Women’s Ministry is hosting a retreat to encourage women to find their God-given unique SHAPE. S.H.A.P.E. stands for spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experience. The retreat is designed to empower women to walk in their gifts to lead and touch the lives of others. It is an awesome opportunity to discover your spiritual gifts and the purpose the Lord has for your life. I am so excited to be attending the s.h.a.p.e retreat this weekend. It could not have come at a better time. I really need to hear from the Lord about these specific things. Please pray for all the women attending and working this retreat. Pray that God will move in our heart’s in a mighty way and teach us about the gifts He has given us and how we can use them for the Kingdom.

Friday night was another Cooper High School football game. I didn’t get to take as many pictures as normal because the sidelines were packed! But I did manage to get a few. So I will post some today and tomorrow. So come back soon to see the rest.

So a while ago I posted about looking back into the past and remembering some cool moments. Well, I found something the other day that I think fits this category and I wanted to share it. It was a letter written by my best friend when we were in high school. It is dated 3/17/99. I can’t believe I kept it this long, but I am so glad I did. Reading it now makes me realize something. It is blessing that after 10 years I still have this amazing friend in my life who encourages me just like she did so long ago when she gave me this note. That thought actually brings tears to my eyes. It’s funny because in the note she talks about us having a bond that will last beyond the childish things of high school. She even mentions being friends when we are 65. Ha! I look forward to that day. When we are 65 and still best friends sharing life together. That will be an awesome day!
