Pregnancy Update

I thought it was time for an update on personal things, mainly the pregnancy. I am currently 26 weeks along. Wow! I really can’t believe how fast it has gone. It seems like just yesterday I was sharing the news with all my family and friends. Now I look down and see this large belly that wasn’t there a few months ago. That is pretty cool. Even cooler still is now I can feel the baby move. There is nothing like it in the world. I am so thankful for this baby and what God is creating inside of me.

I have to confess though that some of the physical changes I am enduring are difficult for me. I really wrestle with the weight gain aspect and those hidious stretch marks. I know women gain weight when they are pregnant and that it is ok. I am just having a hard time with it.  I have always been big, but never this big. I am envious of those little pregnant women who look exactly like they did before they were pregnant save for the basketball size belly.  You know what I am talking about. They are so cute. I am not that kind of pregnant. My face is larger, my arms are wider, even my feet are bigger. AHHH! Can you tell I need to vent about this? So I am praying that the Lord will do a work in my heart and mind. I need to be consumed with HIS thoughts about me and not my thoughts about me.  I really struggle with this, but I don’t want to. I want to enjoy my pregnancy for what it is. That is my goal. It’s just going to be a daily battle.

Even though some things are a struggle, others are pretty exciting. I can not wait for Andy to be able to feel the baby move. He has felt it once, but I know here in the near future he will feel it so much more. I am also enjoying getting things ready. We put our crib and dresser together. I also registered at Babies R Us with lots of help from my mom and best friend. Things are moving along quite nicely. Can you believe that in July we will have a baby? It still almost doesn’t seem real to me. I am so thankful though and excited to meet this little baby.

Now I hate to post without a picture so… Since I do not like pictures of myself these days I have been trying to find creative ways to document my pregnancy. Here is a picture I took last week. Thanks for listening!

Hoestly you look very cute pregnaunt i promise. I know thoes really skinny ladies have more problems then mighty women of the lord. One of the ladies from my church had some back problems because her basketball belly was HUDGE!

However i really like the picture you posted and dont be afraid to take other pics where we can see the beauty God has made. God never makes anything ugly always something he can use to glorify the kingdom. So dont be afraid.. You and baby Booe are so beautiful i cant wait to see more pics.

Love Ya,
Carly

Jenn Mejia - Renee you are beautiful pregnant, truly. You are strong and your body is doing what it needs too right now. I have the same struggles and I have to remind myself daily that my body is growing how it needs too. You have such a beautiful glow of new life on you. Don’t let the enemy distort that. Love you!

patty - renee, I love this pic, so original and fun, u look gorgeous!!!

Jenny - Hey Renee!

I just wanted to tell you that I am so excited for you! I know it can be hard adjusting with the physical changes that pregnancy comes with, but hang in there. I gained 55 lbs with Brenna, so I know how you feel. With this pregnancy I have just been very sick, but I can’t wait to feel him or her move. That feeling is one of the most unique, joyous feelings (I believe) that a woman will ever experience. There is nothing like it as you know, and I’m sure you, like me, will miss it so much after the baby is here…of course then you will have him/her to hold, but still enjoy it while you can! I know I do! =) We need to get together soon! Maybe I will see you at church tomorrow!

Love,
Jenny Acs
