Israel 2010: Day 7

Yesterday we spent the majority of our time in the Golan Heights area. It was beautiful to travel through the moutains of Israel.  The mountains are so lush and green, which is something I honestly did not expect.  I took lots of pictures just to prove how lovely northern Israel really is.

Our first stop was Tel Hazor. The ruins date back to Joshua’s time around 1200 B.C.  Below are some of the images from this ancient city.

Next we actually got to go for a hike in an area known as Tel Dan.  This is the area that was inhabited by the Danites. The Jordan River starts at the springs in Dan and is named for the city. The trail was filled with amazing trees and flowing streams of water.  I really felt like I stepped out of Israel for a bit. I hope the pictures can give you at least a small glimpse of how beautiful it truly is in this area.

Ok friends. So it has taken me about an hour and a half to post the few images you see here. We are now in a new hotel in Jerusalem and the internet is so slow I could cry. So I am going to go to bed and pray that it will be better in the morning. When the internet improves I will add more to this post for sure. Sorry for the inconvenience. I guess I just take technology for granted some times.

Blessings to all of you!
