Have you ever met someone who has a contagious spirit? You feel joyful when you are around them and when you leave their company you are refreshed? This is how I feel about the entire Porter family. I absolutely adore them. I am truly blessed to know them.
Kevin and Rebekah are amazing parents to their three girls Natalie, Lily, and Everly. They love the Lord and it is evident in everything they do. Kevin is so funny and just cracks me up every time I talk to him. Rebekah is full of grace and has a strength that I long for. Not to mention an awesome fashion sense as well. This family is truly beautiful. And it was a pleasure photographing them, Texas heat and all.
I learned a lot from this photo shoot about the type of photographer I want to be. I don’t want to be the photographer that portrays a family in a perfect position with everyone’s heads turned at the exact same angle, hands folded gently in their laps, with plastic smiles forced on their faces. That is not real! When have you ever seen a family look like that in real life? I would rather capture the essence of what makes a family unique and beautiful. I hope that I did this for the Porter family.

I can home the other day from a photo shoot and found this little man all dressed up in his camera t-shirt. His dad did a great job of getting him dressed. Gotta love it. I can’t wait to get a camera in Eli’s hands and see what he captures. Kids love taking pictures. And in this digital age why not let them! Giving kids the camera allows them to be creative and they are so proud of the images they get, even if they are blurry and people’s heads are cropped out. Man, I still do that! So why not let you kids have the camera this weekend. See what great shots the come up with. Happy shooting.

I L-O-V-E love photographing seniors! And this senior made my job easy. Allow me to introduce to you one of my Senior Reps. This is Rebecca. Rebecca is a senior at Wylie high school. She is a cheerleader and believe you me she has some awesome moves. Just wait, I’ll prove it.
It was a pleasure working with Rebecca. She has such a sweet spirit and just a charming personality. Not to mention that she is gorgeous. Seriously, her eyes are fabulous. I am excited to be working with Rebecca this year and I believe she will make a great Senior Rep. What is a Senior Rep.? Well a S.R. is a high school senior who represents RBP. They basically do what they can to spread the word about my small little business. I don’t know what I would do without my S.R.s. They are all awesome, well rounded students and just beautiful people both inside and out. And Rebecca definitely fits that bill. She is also my first ever Wylie Rep. and I am just so pumped to have her as apart of my team. Thanks Rebecca, you rock.

What do you think about the logo? It is simple, but fresh. It may still need a little bit of work, but this is it for the most part. I am sure you have noticed that the website and blog have transformed a bit as well. Both are a work in progress so please be patient while I work out all the bugs. I was just ready for something new. Something that defined more of my style as a photographer. And I think I am getting there. Well at least I am closer than before. I have another project I am working that on that I believe helps define my style and can’t wait to share it with you. Really! I wish I could share it with you now. But it’s not ready. Not even close. But I am working diligently to get it done so I can present it to you. Are you curious yet?
