Last week we announced that we are pregnant and expecting baby #2 in September. We are so thankful for all the kind words from everyone. We feel so blessed.
Many people have asked us the strange question…was this planned? Which I understand why people are asking. Eli is only 6 months old AND we are already pregnant again. So here is my answer to that question.
We have always wanted two children…at least two. So we have always known we would have another baby. So in that perspective, YES this was planned.
Now for the timing…the fact that my children will be 14 months apart…that was God’s plan. And I am a firm believer that His timing is far better than mine. He has a plan and a purpose for this little one. And that plan starts in September of 2011. Who am I to dispute that?
We want this baby and are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us again.
Now, actually taking care of two young children…that’s something else entirely I have to wrap my brain around.

Renee - HA. My first name is actually Melissa-Renee…pretty crazy huh.
jessica - I think it’s great that they will be close in age! Megan and Brynn are 14 months apart and although tough at times, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I thought it would be a lot harder than it was but it wasn’t that hard. Routine is a big factor and also letting the older sibling feel like they are apart of the experience. I would let Megan help as much as she wanted when she wanted. It sometimes would be as small as handing me a diaper or a wash cloth when I was bathing Brynn but she loved it. I think you will do just fine!

I felt that exact way when people asked if we wanted a boy when we were having a girl!!! AH! We WANT a healthy baby! 🙂 and that’s what we got! Hard to be disappointed about that! 🙂
