Sawyer was four days old when we did her first photo shoot. And I must brag on my little girl and say that she did a very good job of cooperating for her mama. She stayed asleep for the most part and barely fussed. I have to thank my mom and my best friend for assisting me. I really appreciated the help and found it very useful to have extra sets of hands when doing a newborn session. Something I will keep in mind for future newborn sessions.
The indoor “studio” look that I tried to do with this session is out of the norm for me, but I wanted to give it a shot. I am pleased with my results but I think I will feel more comfortable taking my baby outside and shooting like I normally do. So I plan to try and do at least two more sessions with her. She is already changing so much and I really want to document her first few weeks of life and all those changes. So check back soon to see more images from her other sessions.
UPDATE: I photograph newborns with a lifestyle approach and NOT what you see here. I am just not gifted in this type of photography. So if lifestyle is your thing then I am your gal when it comes to newborns!
