I was taking some pictures the other night, just playing around with my camera, and I managed to snap this great one of Andy.
I just had to post it because I thought it was so cute. Andy just recently got back from being deployed and seeing this picture just makes me realize how blessed and thankful I am. I am thankful that he is home safely and that God took care of both of us during his deployment. I am thankful for everyone who serves this country and is willing to leave the comfort of their home to fight for our freedom. I am thankful for those people who reach out to family members of deployed loved ones and do their best to take care of them and meet their needs. And I am thankful that God has blessed me with such an amazing husband who loves me unconditionally.
Thanks to all who serve in the military; soldiers,wives, husbands, children, extended family members and friends. I understand the commitment and sacrifice you all make.

So on Monday I got something in the mail that I have been wanting for so long: A NEW CAMERA! My old camera was starting to act up and I just didn’t trust that it would work when I needed it to. So after a long debate on which camera to buy I finally made the decision and bought the Canon 5d Mark II. I must admit that I am a little scared to leave the Nikon world, but I just couldn’t pass up all that this new Canon has to offer. I really can’t wait until I get to do a photo shoot with my new baby.
Now the real question is…Is this camera that much better than my old one? That is where you come in. I have taken some random pictures with both my Nikon and my new Canon at the same exposures to test myself and you. I have not edited any of these pictures so that you would be able to see what the images look straight out of camera. Your job is try and decide which picture comes from the new camera. Are you up to the challenge?
How to play:

3. Hit submit and you are done! If you have never left a comment before I will have to approve it. Once that is done you will then see your post.

I am an idiot! I thought the photo with the Canon was the canon camera photos and the one with the Nikon was the nikon camera. It only took me 3 days to figure that out! Hahahaha!

I am so sorry that it has been forever since I have posted anything. Life has been pretty busy. My husband Andy just recently got back from his 5 month deployment. I am super excited to have him home! A few days after he got home we went on a two week vacation. We drove all the way to Washington D.C. We really enjoy road trips and this one was so much fun. We got to see lots of historical sites, spend time with some awesome friends, and even made a pit stop in Indiana to surprise family. And if that was not enough we leave for Florida on Sunday. Whew! I love summer. It is a blessing to be able to travel so much. Here are a few images from D.C. Check back soon to see my new toy I just got. Can you guess what it is?
While on vacation in Indiana I had a photo shoot with the Gadberry kids. I have been taking their pictures for years now and it is always so fun working with these kiddos! Below I have posted my favorites. I hope you enjoy!

I would like to introduce you to Miss Stefany. Stefany is actually one of my students at Cooper. She needed some head shots for a competition she is entering so we set out to get her some great images. Stefany is a real natural in front of the camera and it shows. She is such a sweet girl with a very kind heart. And she speaks Spanish with a beautiful accent. That rocks! I had so much fun doing this photo shoot and I can’t wait for you to see all the goodies.
