Donny & Rachel

While I was on vacation in Florida I had the opportunity to do a photo session with my good friend Donny and his wife Rachel. Donny and I have been friends since high school. It has been really great getting to know his wife. Rachel is such a sweet girl and I really enjoy her!

This session was my first beach session and I loved it. I wish I lived near the ocean so I could do sessions there all the time! I don’t know about you, but I love the beach. I think it is fun and romantic. Ah! I can’t wait to get back to a beach. It really is one of my favorite places to be.

I think this one is just fun.

Below: This is one of my favs!

Above: Personally I think this picture is hot!

Below: This series is fun. I love dancing!

I had fun trying to capture the sunset. I know a couple of these are the same concept, but I like them.

Above: I love the emotion in this one. They look playful and so loving.

Below: What I like about this one is the things going on in the background. The bird flying and the kid playing in the water. ALL very cool, but it doesn’t get in the way of moment between the two of them.

7 days until Israel!

Oh I am so excited! Next Friday my youngest brother Dustin and I will be headed to Israel. We are going on a two week mission trip with my church Beltway Park.  (http://beltway

We have been planning and preparing for this for months and I can’t believe it is finally here. I am so honored that God would choose me to go and do His work in Israel. I know He has amazing things planned and I can’t wait to see God move in Israel, in the lives of His children there, and in the lives of the people on this mission team.

We will spend a week facilitating a children’s camp. At that camp I will be assisting in teaching ESL. I have never done that before, but I look forward to seeing God work thru me. The second week we will be traveling around Israel to various sites. I am looking forward to seeing my Bible come to life before my eyes at such places as Jerusalem, and the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus’ tomb, Jordan River, and many other places. Oh I can hardly contain my excitement. When I get back I believe I will be blogging for days about this trip!

So if you would pray for the safety of this mission trip. Pray that God will use us to bring Him glory and honor. Pray that we would see His kingdom come in Israel.

God bless and thanks for your prayers!

Preview: Donny & Rachel

I wish that I could sit in front of my computer and edit all day long. But I need to be a responsible wife and do a little house cleaning. So I edited couple images from my session with Donny and Rachel for you guys to preview. I have a lot of good images to post from this session so come back soon to see the rest.

I love both these shots!

Above: They both have such beautiful eyes.

Below: I think this shot is so precious. I love the emotion between the two of them. Very romantic.

Rachel and Broc

Rachel and Broc are dear friends of mine. I have known them for years and this was my first time photographing them. Crazy huh! Well I must say that this photo session was very fun. HOT, but fun. They were both so awesome to brave the jungle like grass and bugs to get these great shots. We all had welts on our bodies, but I think it was worth it.

My cousin Tim tagged along during the session and actually took some pictures. I was impressed with him because he shot completely in manuel on my old camera after only a short 10 minute run down on how the Nikon functions. Impressive. I think he has a good eye and it was fun having him there.

So please enjoy these photos and the manuel debut of Tim Arnold.

I love the emotion Tim captured in this one.

Rachel look so beautiful in this shot below.

I had to post a shot of me at work. This is proof that I actually do take pictures:)  Thanks Tim!

I love the series below. This was what happens when your photographer asks you to be serious.

The last one is my fav!

Lauren Z - Ok, so i personally like numbers one and three the best. I think number two is a little busy. I think number one shows her cutesy personality and number three is more mellow…”they call me Mellow Yellow”…:) Of course i love the yellow one…and i love postcards. 🙂
