Lifestyle Newborn Photography | Baby E

YES, I DO photograph newborns! Someone recently asked me about this and then I realized I didn’t have any of these sessions on my website. So I had to remedy that! Click here to see more newborn sessions that represent my style (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/category/newborns/).

I specialize in lifestyle newborn sessions which are in your home and very relaxed. I do not photograph with backdrops or crazy poses. Some photogs rock that type of newborn photography, but I stick to what I do best! I tried it once (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/sawyers-newborn-session-part-1/) with my own baby and believe me, you do not want me trying that again.

In my photography I focus on capturing moments and relationships and the same is true for my newborn sessions. So if you are looking for this type of newborn work then I am your gal!

We Made it to Alabama

Hello friends! It has been way too long. Life has been CRAZY busy these past few months with our adoption (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/big-news/) AND our move across the planet that this blog has gotten dusty. In case you missed the announcement on Facebook  (https://www NULL.facebook NULL.com/ReneeBooe/) we have moved to Montogmery, Alabama and will be here for the next few years.

After a couple of months of unpacking and settling into a new routine it is time to think about the direction my photography business will take while we are in Alabama. I plan to continue to photographing but only family sessions and seniors portraits. I will start shooting a VERY limited number of clients in October in Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook and other surrounding areas. I may consider doing travel sessions as well. So comment to this post and let me know where you are located and I will let you know if I come to your area.

Email me at reneebooephotography@gmail.com for more information or to book your session.

Now a little bit about life right now.

We are learning to settle in as a family of five. There are great days and there are super hard days. Our sweet Leia is a brave one. She has adjusted so well, but there are still some days that are more difficult than others for her and for me if I am being totally transparent. My older kids recognize the hard too. But the way they love their little sister convicts me in the best way. Without them I know this transition would be much more challenging. They are rock stars. Don’t get me wrong, they do occasionally mourn the loss of their uninterrupted play time or their neatly organized toys. But that lasts about five seconds and they go right back to snuggling their mei mei (Chinese for “little sister”).  It has been such a blessing to watch the bond between the three of them grow.

That is a little update for now. If you want to learn more about our adoption visit Spuronlove.com (http://www NULL.spuronlove NULL.com/blog/) or follow our daily life with Leia on Instagram (https://www NULL.instagram NULL.com/spuronlove/).

Above: So the reality of taking photos of your own children is….they often don’t want to participate. Ha!

Dear clients,

If your kids start out your family session like this, PLEASE do not stress. Give me some time and I will turn those smiles upside down. That is apart of my job. So relax, breathe, and let me worry about getting smiles and natural moments from those babes! It totally works with other people’s kids. With my own…I have to bribe them 🙂 Just speaking truth.

Yep. That sums it up! So much strong will in her little two year old body!

Sunset and Snuggles | Montgomery, Al Family Photographer

Hello Alabama folks! I am new to this great state and wanted to introduce myself.  I am originally from Indiana and married to a military man which has us moving all around the world. We just left Tokyo (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/category/the-city-session/), home for the past four years, and are now calling Prattville, Alabama home. I am a natural light photographer specializing in families (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/category/families/) and high school seniors (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/category/seniors/).  I hope you will spend some time perusing around the blog  to get to know a bit more about me (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/the-vision/) and my photography style (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/category/families/). If you like what you see I would be honored to work with you to capture images for your family. Click the contact link above to book your session or for more information.

Now on to some images from my first family photo shoot in Alabama.

Sunsets and family snuggles are some of my favorite things and when you combine them with a family portrait session my heart is beyond happy.  The lovely fields of Prattville, Alabama are quite a contrast from the the big city of Tokyo. But I think they are the perfect setting for family photos. I am excited to start offering family portraits sessions in Montogmery, Prattville, Millbrook, and the surrounding areas.

A big thanks to the Paul family for working with me. It was such a joy photographing the four of them!

Smiles by the River | Montgomery, Al Child Photographer

Sophie just had a birthday which meant it was time for her yearly photo shoot. She did so well during her three year old shoot (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/tokyo-child-photographer-sophie/) and she rocked this one as well. She has come along way since the first time I photographed her (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/tokyo-portrait-photographer-katsurada-family-2/) in 2012. She use to really make me work for it. Now, I think it is safe to say she may like me a little bit.

All of Sophie’s sessions were shot in Japan. I now live in Alabama and will be booking sessions this fall in Montgomery, Prattville, Milbrook, and other surrounding areas.  Shoot me an email for more information or to book your session: reneebooephotography@gmail.com
