A little while ago Andy and I went to Louisiana to visit our good friends Charlie and Tori. Tori and I spent the entire weekend talking about fitness, food, babies, and photography. It was amazing because we never ran out of things to talk about. We are both passionate about the same things and it was just so great to visit with each other. Of course one of the big topics was photography. Anytime I know someone is interested in photography I just jump for joy.
Tori got a new camera for Christmas and is soaking up all kinds of information she can get her hands on about photography. So I suggested that we do a photo shoot and put that reading of hers to good use. We agreed to photograph each other and learn by doing. I photographed Charlie and Tori first and then Tori photographed Andy and I. I must confess that I am not very good at being on the other side of the lens. I can now relate to my clients for sure. I felt silly and unsure of myself. I don’t think it helps that at this moment in time I have a huge body complex about being pregnant, but that’s a whole other story for a different day.
It was super fun getting out and shooting together.I enjoyed helping Tori and am amazed that she is already shooting in manual and gets great exposure. In this post you will see images that I took of the Goetz family as well as images that Charlie took with my camera while Tori photographed us. I love the idea of giving you all a backstage view of a photo shoot. Enjoy.
