Eli & Sawyer’s Cherry Blossom Photo Session

Life has been busy. The past seven months, well really eighteen months, have been a whirl wind. I am just starting to feel normal again. Ok, maybe not normal. Being a mother of two and living on the other side of the planet away from everything familiar is still very new AND far from normal for me. But I feel like I am getting the hang of it and adjusting to this life.

I’ve rather missed sharing personal stories with you on the blog. I love to connect with y’all this way. My time in front of the computer has been very limited now that my almost three year old has give up naps. But that is ok. I can blog later. He won’t be this age forever. So when he asks me to play trains with him I feel it important to stop what I am doing and make that happen. I know it won’t be long before the roles are reversed and I am begging him to hang out with me.

I do share a lot of my daily life on Instagram. Ok. Let’s be honest. I post tons of pictures of my kids on Instagram every day. My kids and our adventures in Japan. If you have a smart phone or Ipad and are interested in what I am doing you are more than welcome to follow me there. (http://instagram NULL.com/reneebooe)

Now for this photo session. Last year I did a spring session of my kids in Texas. You can see those images here  (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/eli-sawyer-spring-mini-session-2012/) I really can not believe that was over a year ago. It is crazy how much they have grown. The most recent session I posted of them together, click here to see (http://reneebooephotography NULL.com/brother-and-sister-photo-shoot/), was taken back in July.  So in my opinion it’s been way too long since I did a session of the two of them together and shared here on the blog. Don’t you agree.

I will confess that photographing your own children is very difficult. I am super thankful for my dear friend Lindsay who accompanied me during this shoot and tried to make Sawyer smile. She is currently teething and suffering from allergies. Under those conditions she did pretty well for me. Even so, she is never really impressed with my camera. She is totally over it. Eli on the other hand will play along for a little bit. I must get the shots quick though or his patience wears out. I am happy with the results though and am thankful to have images of them from their first spring in Japan with the famous cherry blossoms.

Lindsay Gough - Renee’, your kids are so cute!! I hope that everything is going well for you on the other side of the world. I love to read your blog and you’ve inspired me to take more day to day pictures. Because of this, I have gotten some great candid pics that would have just passed by with out any proof that they happened. So, Thank you:)

Meg (http://coloringspirit NULL.com) - Ohhhh goodness. How CUTE! The third from the last picture is my favorite. I have a huge weakness for fedoras.
