I have a little confessing to make. I still get nervous before every photo shoot. Oh my way to the meeting location I always have butterflies in my stomach. I have been doing this for years, and you would think it would be no big deal. That’s not the case. It never fails that about 30 minutes before each shoot I start getting nervous. So on my way to meet clients I always say a little prayer and ask the Lord to help me capture images that truly represent that particular client. Because after all that is the entire reason why I shoot. And by His grace He helps me to do just that. And you know what? As soon as I greet the client and get to work the nerves disappear. It’s like something else just takes over and I feel comfortable and energized and ready to rock that photo shoot. It’s in the middle of posing a client, checking exposure, working angles, that I feel empowered and inspired. I will even say it’s an adrenaline rush. And I love it. Love, love, love it! I feel so blessed to call this my job. And I think it’s ok that I still get a little nervous. It helps me relate to my clients who are normally a little nervous at first too.
Tell me how you feel in front of or behind the camera. I would love to hear what a photographer can do to make you feel more comfortable. Or how you feel when you know you have gotten an awesome image. Talk to me!
I will leave you with a preview of what I am currently working on. Blessings yall.
