Eli & Sawyer | Spring Mini Session 2012

This is the first session I’ve ever done with both my kiddos. I’ve taken lots of snap shots at home of the two of them together, but never anything more than that. You would think I would have put lots of thought into their first sibling session but that is not the case. This session was a last minute, impromtu session.

I’ve had my eye on this budding tree for a few weeks now. I knew it would be a perfect spot for a shoot. I’ve been waiting for sis to be able to sit on her own before using this location. Well time was running out. The tree was already starting to lose it’s blooms. So yesterday evening I decided it was time to get the shot before the pretty tree was gone.

So I enlisted my husband’s help, dressed the kids, packed the car, and headed to the magical spot. We hiked with both kiddos and gear in tow through the tall Texas grass to get to the tree. We set the kids up, I stepped back to get the shot and when I realized I had made a HUGE MISTAKE. I only had 10 pictures left on my memory card and I did not bring another. The sun was setting so there was no time to run home for another card. Errr. So instead of snapping until my heart’s content I had to get a few and be happy with what I got. I wish I could have photographed my babes for a half an hour, but all I got was ten minutes. Let’s just say I’ve learned my lesson!

Sweet Sawyer Faye at 5 months old.

Eli’s (19 month) turn to play.

Oh I just love these two so much. Can’t wait to photograph them again with more memory cards!
