A New Year. A New Beginning. A New Plan

I love the first of the year. It represents newness. A fresh start. A clean slate. A new beginning. Its a time a of re-evaluation. To stop and look at what’s really important.  And a time to dream bigger than ever before. I love everything about a new year and I am excited about what the future holds for this year.

I want to make the most of 2011. I want this year to be great and to do so I need a plan. So like many people I make goals. And I write them down. There is something about writing them down, and sharing them that holds me accountable. When I write down my goals it becomes a commitment. And I want that. I want to be committed to becoming a better person and making things happen.

So here it is. My personal goals for 2011.

1. Put God first in every aspect of my life. To allow God to be Lord over my marriage, my relationships, my business, my body. I want to give Him dominion over it all. Daily.

2. Spend more time with the Lord. Read my Bible. Pray. Listen. Worship.

3. Pray intentionally everyday for my husband and my son. I want to go to battle for them daily.

4.  Get healthy. I need to lose weight. 70lbs actually. Wow. Can’t believe I admitted that. But I want to lose weight for my health and not because I want to be skinny. I want to put clean fuel in my body and exercise it.  To prevent self induce damage and to be able to do the things I want to do into old age. So I can live fully.

5. Set small weekly goals and do them. Like cleaning out a closet, or having coffee with a friend.

6. Complete Project 52. (More on this coming soon)

7. Run a 5k.

8. Complete a triathlon.

9. Organize all personal photos and make photo books.

10. Cook more and eat out less.

11. Read more.

12. Read the entire Bible in 2011.

Those are my personal goals for this year. I am sure these will all become popular topics on this blog. Because whether you know it or not, you keep me accountable. Knowing that you are reading and interested keeps me focused. So thank you!

And I want to motivate and support you. What are you goals for 2011? Please share them in the comment area. Let’s keep each other accountable and make 2011 be as amazing as possible.

Happy New Year!
